Average Rating for Gaming Monitors

    Game Changer
I will admit that I didn't do a ton of research, but I needed an upgrade from my dual monitor setup. I read some reviews online and found this monitor recommended pretty widely, but the price was high. When I found it on sale for just over $600 I grabbed it and have never looked back. I've heard criticism of the "mere" 2560x1080 resolution, but it looks beautiful. The curve is subtle, but the perfect enhancement for gaming, and pretty necessary for any monitor this wide. It has improved my ... read more workspace and my gaming experience more than I can say. The monitor arrived in perfect condition, and I can't find a dead pixel anywhere (another review nag I'd heard). So mine might not be the deepest review, but if you're coming from a similar scenario, you will NOT regret this purchase. I took for granted how much my screen was inhibiting my experience. It is a bigger improvement than I had anticipated. The G-Sync feature is making a marked improvement even with my 8-year-old rig and upgraded GTX 1060.

    Amazing value.
All around a great product, love the refresh rate and g-sync is amazing. My one and only issue is a small color defect on the left side, it's slightly more yellow than the right. Cannot be noticed while gaming, and is only visible on a bright white screen, such as surfing web pages etc.

    Awesome monitor
I was looking for a monitor that would be a good all-around piece, but I didnt want to spend a ton of money. I do a lot of gaming, work on the computer, and watching movies, and this monitor is great for allnof the above. I love that it pivots, and it's really easy to manipulate and raise and tilt but still feels sturdy. And it raises high enough I can use my desk as a stabding desk! Arrived quickly and I had no issues, worked right out of the box. Great monitor and cant beat the price.

    Great monitor
I've had no issues with the monitor. It looks great and everything is as it should be. My last monitor was 10 years old. I plan on keeping this one that long as well.

    Excellent Features, Resolution and Colors!
This is replacing a 24" monitor that I used for a couple of years and what a difference!! I was concerned that this might be too big but it turns out to be the perfect size! At 2560x1440 the text is still very clear and legible for my not so great eyes. Very easy to multi-task with split screen. Passed the few online monitor evaluations I tried with flying colors (no pun intended). Very pleased with this monitor and glad I made the jump to the larger size.

    Super good for gaming.
Here are my specs, GTX 970, fourth gen i7, 500gb ssd, 8gb ram. Despite the decent color reproduction considering the panel I would not recommend this for any type of graphic production. So lets talk games. The refresh rate, which is the key feature of this monitor is outstanding. So far the only game I've played competitively is Fortnite. You can call this placebo, but I genuinely played better. My building was faster and more consistent, my shots were hitting better and my windows of ... read more opportunity are basically four times longer than what I would've had with my 60 hertz monitor. For those of you who are wondering if I was pushing 240 frames, I was hovering around 180 to 260 frames.

Color configuration is stable, a good monitor
I bought this to work with two other monitors in a color balanced setup for photo editing and movie production. It has performed well and the color/gamma & contrast have been stable. I needed a HDMI monitor that would adjust to the height of my other monitors. I bought this at the promotion price and could not be happier with my decision. Good product.

    The perfect Ultrawide
I am upgrading from an LG 34UC97 60hz,IPS panel. I have used the new LG 34GK950F-B for about 100 hours so far and have the following pro’s and cons: PRO’s -The 400 nit brightness panel might not be of much use for HDR but my god the brightness vs my old 34” IPS panel is stunning. -I was prepared to be underwhelmed with the NANO IPS panel as I already had a very good IPS panel. My god was I wrong, the colors are incredible. Not quite as good as my OLED or QLED tv’s but stellar vs a TN, VA or ... read more standard IPS panel. This alone was worth the upgrade. (Used a Color Munki Elite to adjust color) -The menu is greatly improved from my lg 34uc97 -The monitor is a LOT lighter than my 34uc97 -Even without using Freesync 2 as I haven’t managed to get a Radeon VII yet, the 144 hz panel is a night and day difference. No more screen tearing with Assassins Creed Odyssey! -I bought it new for $850.00 USD, at that price it’s a fantastic monitor IMO as it blows away the competition that all sit at around $800.00 USD -I find myself not wearing my blue light filter glasses when on this monitor late at night. There is just something about the panel that is better for late night gaming. CON’s -The HDR is literally useless, If HDR is a big deal for you there are FAR better monitors. None that have the other stats this one has overall but All the reviews that say HDR 400 is worthless are correct. -I don’t like that the cable ports fire straight out the back. It creates an eventual droop for the heavy headed display port cables -The power brick is HUGE… not a big deal but depending on your setup it might need to be velcrod on your desk or something. Gaming-As with my LG 34uc97 gaming on a 34” UW 21:9 curved monitor is a joy. Games with saturated or hyper color pallets look absolutely breathtaking on the Nano IPS panel (WOW, RIFT, Overwatch, SWTOR, Mass Effect Andromeda, Fortnite, Disney movies) Games with a more realistic color palette ( Assassins Creed Origins& Odyssey, Witcher 3, ESO, Battlefield, Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice etc) are less impacted by the Nano IPS but the brightness and crispness the panel offers still improves the playing experience. There is no other ultra wide curve with the overall stats this one has. I made a spreadsheet comparing ALL of them including the 49” ones and none of them have all the tech this one has.

    Great monitor for Everyone
I was super excited at the prospect of getting a new monitor. I’ve been into technology for quite some time, and getting a new piece is always exciting. I specifically chose this monitor because of its feature set, because compared to many other monitors of this class, it was a much better value. I looked at the HP Omen X 35, the Acer Predator X34, the ASUS PG348Q, and the Alienware AW3418DW, all of which have either a VA or IPS panels. I really considered the refresh rate a lot when making my ... read more decision. The LG 34GK950F-B checked all the boxes for me. It has a 144hz refresh rate, HDR 400 certification and Radeon Freesync 2. I didn’t really like the ASUS monitor and the Acer monitor because of how they looked, but the HP looked really nice. It has a VA panel, but I was willing to overlook it for the GSync support and the way it looked. All of the monitors listed had a resolution of 3440x1440 and a refresh rate of 100hz. The Alienware has an IPS panel and a refresh rate of 120hz, which was compelling, except when I realized that it was too wide to fit on my desk comfortably. That checked that monitor off the list. Then I saw this monitor. I wasn’t crazy about the looks, especially the red accents on the stand, but I consider functionality to be more important than the way it looks, and the high refresh rate of 144hz and the IPS panel made it a no brainer. I really appreciate LG’s OSD and the way it works. I like the joystick method of navigating over the buttons of competing monitors. On top of that, it has 2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 HDMI ports. I really wanted USB-C because I was planning to use this with my MacBook Pro as well, but it’s not too big of a deal. The curve makes a big difference and the 21:9 aspect ratio makes productivity way easier. I play a lot of video games, including Brawlhalla, Minecraft, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch. The high refresh rate of the monitor makes playing games much better and more enjoyable and the 21:9 aspect ratio allows you to see 20% more content than a 16:9 screen. The low input lag and the amazing colors make viewing content amazing too. I don’t have many complaints, because this monitor is extremely well built and offers lots of adjustments in the form of swivel, height and tilt adjustments. One issue that I had was a dead pixel on the right side of the screen. I was able to fix it by applying pressure to the panel. I also noticed quite a bit of IPS glow on the corners, which is to be expected, but is still worth noting. I’m also not crazy about the red colors, as I prefer to have my monitors be color neutral to match any setup. If there is one feature that it doesn’t have that I would really like is USB-C ports on the back. As I said, I use a MacBook Pro to edit videos and I would appreciate it if I could just plug one cable into it for video and power. Other than that, this monitor was amazing and I haven’t had any significant problems yet. I would highly recommend this to anyone searching for an ultra wide monitor with high refresh rate, and good color accuracy. I love using it every day and would highly recommend that anyone looking for this type of monitor to buy it.

    Very nice Ultrawide
Updated from a 27" gaming enthusiast g-sync monitor to this ultrawide. The monitor sits very nicely on its stand. it doesn't rotate, but the swivel/height adjustments are more than enough. This monitor has been used for general use and performs very well. Gaming with HDR on was quite a difference as the colors "popped". If you've never had an ultrawide, I'd recommend this one, it does have an immersive feel to it. Spec wise, it is g-sync compatible as long as you follow the appropriate setup. ... read more I'm just overall impressed with this very, very nice ultrawide. I did have some issues with a color distortion, where occasionally upon turning on/waking that the screen would go green/purple with a line down the middle. A solution was recommended by LG that resolved the issue for approx ~2wks before a separate discoloration issue occurred. The monitor is currently in for repair. Despite all of this, the monitor is still a very nice monitor. I would still recommend this. I give it 4/5 due to some clouding and minimal flash lighting. If you're on the fence, check this this monitor out!

    Glad I did my research
This monitor boasts features found only in those in the >$1500 range. The three brands starting with 'A' had most of the features offered in the 32GK850G-B, but were either too small (27") or curved 34" displays costing upwards of $1700. While value is important in a monitor, image quality is paramount. The VA display here has impressive mega contrast and color gamut. Blacks are solid and dense, allowing whites to really pop. This is my first G-Sync display and no, I didn't really know what I ... read more was missing. This screen is so smooth, you get the feeling of being in a movie rather than playing a video game. 32 inches of real estate seems to swallow you up and completely immerse you in the game world. This is due to the amazing 165 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms response time. To say that you'll see your games in a whole new light really is an understatement. If I need to play a game using HDR or 4K I'll use my 55" LG OLED display for that. You can certainly pay more for a display, but this monitor brings an impressive array of features and specifications not found in more expensive, but less impressive monitors. If you want HDR and 4K you'll definitely need to pay a lot more. LG's OLED televisions can do 4K gaming at 60 Hz over HDMI, so if I need HDR gaming I have it. I'll eventually move to an even larger, HDR monitor, but this one had so much going for it that no HDR was not a deal-breaker in any way. This display will keep me immersed for years to come. Another LG triumph.

    A new level
Ive been playing different games for a long time and running several high fps screens in 27" format, then i tested a BENQ 32" standard format screen but with just 60Hz and sad to say i fell in love with the format, tried to find a similar screen with Gsync and higher fps tested 34 " wide and curved but nothing could match the 32" std format feeling so returned asap, and then found this one and to be honest this is at least my personal heaven, high refresh rate, 32" format playing PUBG, WOW WOT ... read more etc etc and just smile larger and larger. SO in conclusion its noticable when a major player like LG wakes up and bring the skills into the market. Just one negative thing, dudes do introduce in the Nordic market had to hunt you down to find a retail here but it was worth it :) /Thomas

The picture on this monitor is awesome.
Costco had this on sale and the resolution was higher than my other monitor. Thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did.

    Excellent monitor
This is one of the best monitors I've been in use so far. The view space is so much better than dual-FHD setup, and the text looks super crisp and clear at 125% on Windows.
