Excellent Mated to MacBook Pro 2018...BUT...
This wide monitor works fantastically mated to a MacBook Pro 2018 model. No problems....BUT, if you have an external harddrive too close to the monitor, another computer, router, any device that gives off an electro-magnetic energy, this could cause your monitor to flicker periodically. Its because some devices are not sheilded as well as they should be. EASY SOLUTION: Keep other electronics, including the mated laptop far enough away from the monitor so that you get flicker-free awesome performance.

    Very high quality
I bought this as the perfect pair to a monster computer I built, and I couldn't be happier. I mainly use it for productive purposes, but I have played a little Forza on it and Horizon especially looks very nice full screen. I can't wait for the new Flight Simulator to come out, that will be really awesome. It was very easy to setup and learn how to use it, and I appreciate the reader mode, it makes especially white websites a lot easier on the eyes after hours of work. Microsoft has a new ... read more program called PowerToys out now that has made it really easy for me to layout all my windows quickly, I highly recommend trying it. It makes much more efficient use of space than using two 27 inch monitors. I love that the stand it so wide. In addition to looking a lot nicer than the narrower stand alternative, it spreads the weight of the monitor across the desk which helps avoid bowing over time. This thing looks a lot bigger in person, it really is impressive.

    Lacking Industry Accessories
Amazing monitor. I use this on a daily basis and have no complaints at all. The issue I have with owning a 49" monitor is that compatible products are not yet in this industry. Finding a 49" desktop arm mount is impossible. The stock stand is sleek but the computer can be found "shaking" if you bump your desk or move it even slightly. The stability is the only thing lacking for this setup. Additional options to mount this massive beauty should be available or at least linked out to a ... read more company that does offer a compatible and sleek mount.

29WK500-P is a step up and almost a home run
Overall the display is a good value as an entry level 21:9 monitor. I would have preferred the 32" variant of this monitor but space constraints caused by the stand not allowing monitor to be placed lower than 3 3/4" from my desk I was unable to do so. A height adjustment to allow a min. distance of 2" to allow for air flow would be welcome. The second and most annoying issue is the stupid control joystick and the even worse on screen software setting controls. The software suite is laughable ... read more in it's non-functionality and the joystick is touchy as heck and very limited in function as well. A bank of control buttons along the right or bottom edge would be superior. I am sure the engineers were "very excited" to install this annoyance almost as much as engineers loved the stupid laptop pointer button of years past. I do hope the cheaper joystick allowed the LG CEO more money to buy golf balls (Grinning) because I cannot see where this "feature" can be considered a user benefit. Aside from those issues the monitor meets my needs and the display is what I expected for the price point as long as I don't have to change the display settings I'll get by.

    Ultrawide Work
I am a senior technical support engieer. I traded two standard monitors for one ultrawide LG monitor. What a difference in my day to day routine! the immediate ease of looking onto one monitor, and the added desk space, are very nice. The qulity LG is giving in this particular monitor is outstanding. Thank you LG! - Ben

    Pretty Good
I've had this for about a year but about 7 months in one of the pixels died and i have a white dot on my screen. Otherwise it is a great monitor and I like using it.

    Wide display is really nice.
I wanted a monitor that allows me to have several things open at a time where I could arrange them for viewing. This monitor does that just like I have at work with 2 monitors side by side. I only gave a 4 star rating because the trim around the display is cheap and looks like they melted plastic into the gap to fill it in. I can see inside that gap where they missed filling some sections. What happened to nice framing around displays these days?

    Excellent ultra wide monitor
I used to have a dual 24" monitor setup, but the bezels in the center of the monitors prevented me from looking directly at my content. With the 34" LG Ultrawide, this is no longer a problem. I have enough screen real estate for a Safari tab open to browse the net, and sidebars for mail, messages, activity monitor, and photos all at the same time... without the distracting bezels of a dual monitor setup directly in front of my vision. For video editing, the 34" screen is amazing. Even though ... read more it's "only" 1080p, images, video, and even text are sharp. Highly recommended.

    Where is the 2560 x 1080 Resolution ?
Most of my work on a computer is using spreadsheets. It took me two years to finally decide to purchase this wide screen model. The best resolution setting I have been able to get out of my Windows 10 desktop is 1920 x 1080. The monitor is nice and clear but I have 2" of dark bar on each side of the screen. Trying to find a fix for this problem on the internet just seems to take me in circles. :-(

Great moitor for a great price
I'm happy with this monitor. It is clear and the colors are good. I don't understand why it keeps asking me to enable the milti-monitor support because I don't have two monitors, but I finally did it just to stop getting the message.

    Good Product
Fit my purpose. Made it easier to work on large files from two locations. Easier for video editing when one is in landscape and one in portrait mode.

    Love the size and features
My husband bought this for me for my birthday. I have bad vision and I work at the computer 8-10 hours a day at work. I love the split screen and reader feature! The only thing I would change is for the height to be adjustable and the screen a little more sturdy-it’s very wobbly. Overall great monitor!

Best 21:9 monitor even though no GSYNC
I’d been watching the price of this monitor ever since it was released. But a $1199, it was too steep a slope to climb. However, when it was reduced to $799, I HAD to buy it. The picture is beautiful, even without HDR. The Nvidia drivers recognize the monitor as GSYNC COMPATIBLE. And they are so right; no tearing or artifacts or WORSE using my EVGA RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. I also have no dead pixels. LG has even sent out two firmware changes since I got it. I’m happy to finally ... read more have a 21:9 monitor and I’m doubly happy that the games look so good on it. A must-Buy for widescreen aficionados !!!!!

    Nearly perfect
Gorgeous colors. 144hz + IPS + DCI-P3 + VRR is an amazing feature set and the LG 34GK950F-B delivers all of it! Shipped with zero dead or stuck pixels too! The only missing features I would like to see are under-monitor LED lighting like the acer x34 and true local dimming as defined by HDR standards. The DisplayPort cable that comes with the monitor isn't version 1.4 and can't support 144hz + 10bpp out of the box so you'll need to buy one.

    The perfect Ultrawide
I am upgrading from an LG 34UC97 60hz,IPS panel. I have used the new LG 34GK950F-B for about 100 hours so far and have the following pro’s and cons: PRO’s -The 400 nit brightness panel might not be of much use for HDR but my god the brightness vs my old 34” IPS panel is stunning. -I was prepared to be underwhelmed with the NANO IPS panel as I already had a very good IPS panel. My god was I wrong, the colors are incredible. Not quite as good as my OLED or QLED tv’s but stellar vs a TN, VA or ... read more standard IPS panel. This alone was worth the upgrade. (Used a Color Munki Elite to adjust color) -The menu is greatly improved from my lg 34uc97 -The monitor is a LOT lighter than my 34uc97 -Even without using Freesync 2 as I haven’t managed to get a Radeon VII yet, the 144 hz panel is a night and day difference. No more screen tearing with Assassins Creed Odyssey! -I bought it new for $850.00 USD, at that price it’s a fantastic monitor IMO as it blows away the competition that all sit at around $800.00 USD -I find myself not wearing my blue light filter glasses when on this monitor late at night. There is just something about the panel that is better for late night gaming. CON’s -The HDR is literally useless, If HDR is a big deal for you there are FAR better monitors. None that have the other stats this one has overall but All the reviews that say HDR 400 is worthless are correct. -I don’t like that the cable ports fire straight out the back. It creates an eventual droop for the heavy headed display port cables -The power brick is HUGE… not a big deal but depending on your setup it might need to be velcrod on your desk or something. Gaming-As with my LG 34uc97 gaming on a 34” UW 21:9 curved monitor is a joy. Games with saturated or hyper color pallets look absolutely breathtaking on the Nano IPS panel (WOW, RIFT, Overwatch, SWTOR, Mass Effect Andromeda, Fortnite, Disney movies) Games with a more realistic color palette ( Assassins Creed Origins& Odyssey, Witcher 3, ESO, Battlefield, Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice etc) are less impacted by the Nano IPS but the brightness and crispness the panel offers still improves the playing experience. There is no other ultra wide curve with the overall stats this one has. I made a spreadsheet comparing ALL of them including the 49” ones and none of them have all the tech this one has.

    Super sharp images!
I bought two of these monitors a couple of weeks ago to upgrade and replace a pair of 10-year old, Dell 24" 1920x1200 monitors. I'm doing photo and video editing in 4K these days and the older monitors weren't cutting it. These new LG monitors are really nice! Bright, clean and sharp. They color calibrated perfectly using SpyderX and they perfectly match each other. I have another photo enthusiast friend coming over next week to check them out as he wanted to upgrade to 4K monitors too. ... read more Since he's already an LG OLED TV owner, I expect he'll love these too!

    Great Picture
Happy with the size and quality of the images on the screen. Opportunity for improvement - there were no instructions with the monitor I received. It took me a little time to hook up as I was not sure if both cables supplied were required.
