Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought this a month ago and have discovered some of the programs such as True Color don’t work. I made a mistake, but I will keep it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture, perfect size I really like the 27"UHD that I got. I was originally looking at bigger screens, but I really liked the specs and reviews on this one. After having it a few weeks I'm glad I didn't go any larger, this is perfect for my home office. Incredible picture and the joystick is nice once you get used to it. It would be nice if it came with some directions so I didn't have to go on Google to find out about the joystick!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality display, great convenience with usb-c This was an upgrade to 27” for a new Mac Air. I’m very happy with the resolution and color, perfect for software development (lots is real estate) and for photo editing (high marks on color accuracy). And I love needing only one USB-C connection to my Mac for both power and display. I’ve used both USB ports on the backside, a great convenience when migrating photo and video backups, although it is a problem that if the screen sleeps the power to those ports goes off (maybe this could be fixed in a firmware update?). Overall, very happy with this purchase.

If I plug in my laptop to the USB-C port of the monitor and the picture is at max quality (4k at 60 hz), will the other USB-A ports on the monitor continue to function at USB 3 speeds, or are they downgraded to USB 2.0?

Asked by: Jrdavis
USB upstream and downstream ports usually refer to ports on a USB hub. An upstream port connects to the host device (PC) while the downstream ports are where you plug in peripheral devices (thumb drives, printers, etc.). On the LG 27'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with HDR 10 (27'' Diagonal), Model # 27UK850-W, the USB Upstream port is the USB-C port. A powered USB hub will not affect the performance of the devices connected to it (ie. it will not make them transfer any faster). However, If you have several higher powered USB devices trying to work off a non-powered USB hub (a USB hub that only gets its power from the USB port on your PC, which is relatively low), then those devices can fail to work, as they don't have enough power to run them. Non-Powered USB Hubs are more for low power draw devices. But if your talking about performance being transfer speed, then no (unless it doesn't work at all). All devices connected through a USB hub share the bandwidth available to that hub. if you use a USB 3.0 port with a USB 2.0 device, the transfer speed will only top out at 480 Mb/s...^IFV
